What to wear → If there will be more than one subject in the photograph, it’s best to have everyone in tones that compliment each other.  I have a “What to Wear” series of blog posts with pictures if you need ideas & Pinterest is a great place to go for session inspiration.  Little ones photograph best when they’re comfortable, so I suggest keeping their outfits as simple as possible.  If you’re unsure, pack a bag and I’ll assist & style you at the time of our session.  Bring bright colors, scarves, chunky textures, hats, jewelry, boots…..bring as much as you’d like!  Seniors, don’t forget your special items…class ring, letter jacket, a musical instrument, your pet, your uniform, your car, anything that shows your personality and will make your senior pictures reflect your own unique personality and spirit.

My style is →  Simple, clean, uncluttered.  I love using natural light as much as possible and shooting candid pictures that really capture a subject’s true personality and spirit.  I think its lovely to capture raw emotions, especially in children.  I love to catch inquisitive expressions, some orneriness, little smirks & smiles and sparkling eyes.  My processing/editing is very clean and timeless.  It is my goal to provide images you’ll treasure for a lifetime, so I do try to avoid very trendy, over processed images.  It really is imperative to me that each one of my images be outstanding and the service I provide to each client be exceptional.

In studio or on location → Its your choice!  Come on into the studio where I offer both indoor and outdoor sets, or I can come to your home or favorite outdoor location, or a combination of both.  Some of my favorite places for sessions are open fields, parks, urban settings, gardens, & historic buildings.

Newborn sessions → Please try to book before your due date and schedule your newborn’s session to fall within the first 7 days of your child’s birth.  That beautiful newborn “curled up” look only lasts a about 7-10 days and we’ll want to be sure and capture those sweet moments.  We’ll take our time and provide plenty of time for feeding, diaper changes, etc.  Newborn sessions generally take about 3 hours, so be sure allow enough time in your schedule.

Maternity →  I just love maternity photography and I’m always very honored to share this beautiful time in life and capture it in photographs.  A lightweight robe (or cardigan) is a perfect choice for showing off your baby bump, as well as fitted tank tops, or button-up blouses.  You may also want to bring a pretty scarf or wrap to drape around your belly.  We’ll also have gowns and wraps on hand at the studio you’re welcome to use for your session.  The ideal time for your maternity session is at 32 -36 weeks of pregnancy.

Viewing & ordering your images  →  Exactly 14 days after your portrait session your images will be ready to view & order.  The ideal way to view and order is to come into the studio and view your images on our 27″ HD computer monitor, Lisa will help you make your choices and place your order during your viewing session.  If you prefer, you may view your images in a private gallery right here on the website.  Just click on “View/Order” (at the top right corner of the home page) and enter your password to view your proofs in a private gallery setting. Friends & family may view them as well.  Images remain in the gallery for exactly 14 days.    You can place your order directly on the website or call the studio to complete your order – the choice is yours.  If your gallery expires, it may be reloaded for 2 additional weeks at a cost of $25.  Prints and packages will be ready 10-14 business days after you place your order.  You may have your order shipped to your home address or you may stop by the studio and pick up your products.  Digital downloads will be available as soon as your payment has processed : )
